About Me

No expense spared for my marvelous headshot!

So, you want to know all about me, huh? Well, this is the right page to find out! It all started in 1377. I was a quiet girl, fending for myself as I grew up on the streets on London. England's crown now rested on the brow of Richard the Second. Penniless and without a title, I vowed to one day make my way through the higher ranks and prove myself to him. Even as I nibbled on my last wedge of cheese, I vowed to provide a better life for myself, and for all of society.

Er...no wait, that's not right...

Here's the real story. In search of a way of helping my overweight parents, I became somewhat obsessed with physical fitness, healthy foods, wellness, and different exercises in June 2007. In addition, my grandfather, who has Celiac Disease and other health issues, and my late grandmother, who had Type 1 diabetes, ignited my curiosity of how to live a long, healthy life, even despite the obstacles.

My main priority is to help you accomplish your goals. I know that my readers are informed, proactive people who rely on themselves to make their lifestyles better... Whether it's to keep up with their kids, get that hot date, look good for their spouse, or feel like a million bucks. I'm just here to help. =)

However, I must point out the fact that I am not a doctor, and do not have the qualifications to diagnose or treat anyone. I don't have the FDA on speed-dial. I'm only here to inform and encourage. Take responsibility for the choices that you make. PLEASE see a qualified medical practitioner before you begin any new nutrition, supplementation, or training program, and continue to see them for check ups. It's much better to have a professional on hand who can tailor to your own specific needs. Please be proactive with your health in this manner as well. Although I may get a commission from any products you buy from clicking on my links, it's really the thought of helping people achieve health and happiness that keeps me going.

I've been very active my entire life. I started playing soccer when I was five, and played until I was a junior in high school. I've also taken part in softball and dancing. I helped start my college's fencing club, and I've been very active in martial arts.

The disciplines I've involved myself with so far include Kempo, Tai Chi, Tang Soo Do, Ninjutsu (but just three classes for that one, unfortunately), Shorinji Kempo (taken while studying in Japan, which was an awesome experience), self defense, Akitsukai Karate, Jiu Jitsu, and Krav Maga.

Krav Maga is still in my current training schedule, as I find it to be a very practical method of self defense and street fighting. I also train for pure strength with the progression of bodyweight exercises outlined in "Convict Conditioning". Additionally, I train for strength-endurance with a program called "Tacfit Commando".

I balance all this hard training with meditation, sleep, nutritious, real foods that I mostly get from my local farmer's market, and plenty of water. I have access to kettlebells when I train at Krav Maga, so I incorporate those as well. As you can see, I'm not really biased toward any one form of training... I love everything that's fun and that works!

All right, that's enough about me. Go live your life as best as you possibly can! =D
